Gulf War Syndrome is a condition that veterans have experienced following fighting in the Gulf War of 1991. This conflict was between Iraq and a coalition of forces from the U.S.A., the U.K. and others. The government in the 1990s believed that Gulf War Syndrome did not exist, and therefore did nothing to treat it. However, soldiers families and friends protested that the condition was very real and very dangerous. This essay will show if the soldiers returning from Iraq were treated well.
