Doctor Jekyll was quite at ease

Following a dinner party two weeks later, Utterson has the chance to speak to Jekyll about his strange friend. Jekyll is uncomfortable and asks Utterson not to mention him again; he does, however, request that if Jekyll ever disappears, Utterson will promise to defend Hyde in any legal matters. Utterson says he does not like Hyde but promises to help for the sake of his friend.
